Terms and Conditions Bristol Buddies is a social networking site which organises events around the city, providing people the opportunity to meet off-line as well as on. We also provide ever-changing recommendations of things to do in the Bristol. By Registering your details on the website or opting to attend an event, you (the "user") signify that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these terms of use. User Eligibility You have not been convicted of any offence under the Protection from Harassment Act (1997), or under any statutory enactment replacing and/or amending such Act, and/or any offence relating to violence. You have not been subject to any injunction or any order to pay damages under the Protection from Harassment Act (1997), or under any statutory enactment replacing and/or amending such Act. Registration When registering your details on Bristol Buddies, you agree to provde accurate, current and complete information about you, whilst up-dating any changes so that the information provided is accurate and current at all times. You agree to maintain the security of your password and accept full responsibility of all actions taken place under your account. Online content Bristol Buddies does not accept responsibility for content placed by those persons other than the Directors or employees of the Company. The authors of such content are solely responsible and therefore Bristol Buddies does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information supplied by other users. Code of conduct 1. You are soley responsible for your conduct at events and the content or information you publish or display ("post") within your profile, or transmit to other members on Bristol Buddies. 2. You will not post on Bristol Buddies, or transmit to other members or employees any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, offemsive sexually oriented, threatening, harassing, racially offensive, or illegal material, or any material that infringes or violates another party''s rights (including but not limited to, intellectual property rights, and rights of privacy and publicity). 3. You will use Bristol Buddies in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations. 4. You will not include in your profile any telephone numbers, street addresses, last names, URL''s or e-mail addresses other than where asked for it in the confidential personal information section. 5. You will not include in your profile any offensive language, sexual references or sexually suggestive language and you will not post any photo''s containing nudity or persnal information. Bristol Buddies reserves the right, but has no obligation to reject or remove any profile or photo that does not comply with these prohibitions. 6. You will not engage in advertising to, or solicitation of other members to buy or sell any products through Bristol Buddies. You will not transmit any chain letters or junk e-mail to other Bristol Buddies members. 7. You will not post, distribute or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior consent of the owner of such proprietary rights. 8. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Bristol Buddies users. Bristol Buddies reserves the right, but has no obligation to monitor and/or mediate disputes between you and other members. 9. You are soley responsible for ensuring that you are at the correct venue at the corrent time, for we cannot be liable for any loss or expense suffered by members as a result of their late arrival. Through our services we arrange for our users to physically meet up at private and public venues. Although a representative of Bristol Buddies may host or attend such events, they are not responsible for the actions of individuals attending the event. Event Booking & Charges When booking an event arranged by Bristol Buddies you must pay the full amount for that event via Bristol Buddies online paypal system. It is possible that circumstances may force us to make changes to the event. Minor changes will be notifed within 24 hours of the event. For major changes such as start time, members will receive 24 hours notice and a full refund will be available if requested prior to the start of the event. Other than these changes, your booking for an event cannot be exchanged, transferred or resold and will be subject to the regulations applicable for that event. Refund & Cancellation Policy & Charges Access to the Bristol Buddies website and registration to become a member is free. Upon booking your place at an event organised by Bristol Buddies, the relevant fee will be accepted through online payment processing company paypal. Events may be cancelled if 24 hours before the social event is due to take place, less than 50% of the maximum capacity of people have registered to attend. Under such circumstances, attendees will receive at least 24 hours notice and will have the option to transfer to another event or a full refund receivable within 7 days. If you cannot attend a social event that you have booked your place on, and only if, you provide Bristol Buddies with your notice of cancellation more than 7 days before the social event is due to take place, you will be provided with 100% refund within 14 days or the option to transfer onto another social event to the same fee value or less, with the difference being refunded within 14 days. If you cannot attend a social event that you have booked your place on, and notice of cancellation is provided between 48 hours and 7 days in advance, no refund will be provided but it will be at Bristol Buddies discretion to transfer you onto an alternative social event to the same fee value or less. Additionally, if you cancel your place to the social event less than 48 hours no refund or event transfer will be available. Complaints Complaints should be sent to contact@bristolbuddies.co.uk and will be aknowledged within 5 days Disclaimer Bristol Buddies does not verify personal information on its participants, such as marital status or any other aspects of their general background. It is up to you to clarify these issues to your own satisfaction. Bristol Buddies does not have the ability to independently screen participants registering as members or to attend its organised events. Bt registering to become a member or to attend a social event through Bristol Buddies, you are agreeing that Bristol Buddies is not liable for any damages, direct or indirect, that may in any way arise out of a Bristol Buddies event. This includes, without limitation, damages arising out of travelling to and from an event, meeting or communicating with other participants and the actions of other participants in events organised by Bristol Buddies. Disclamer Of Warranty Bristol Buddies does not warrant that your use of Bristol Buddies will be secure, uninterrupted, always available, or error free, or will meet your requirements, or that any defects in the service will be corrected. Bristol Buddies disclaims liability for, and no warranty is made with respect to, connectivity and availability.
Limitation of liability: In no event will Bristol Buddies be liable to you for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of programs, cost of procurement of substitute services or service interruptions) arising out of the use of or inability to use Bristol Buddies, even if Bristol Buddies or its agents or representatives know or have been advised of the possibility of such damages, or to any person other than you. Bristol Buddies does not screen the members registering for services offered by Bristol Buddies in any way. As a result Bristol Buddies will not be liable for any damages, direct, indirect, incidental and/or consequential, arising out of communicating and/or meeting with other members of this service, or introduced to you via this service. Bristol Buddies is not liable for the integrity of statements made by members as to their identity and general background. It is incumbent and advised upon the user to verify any and all information relating to but not limited to this subject. It is advised to check references of any user. Nothing in this agreement shall exclude or limit our liability to the user for death or personal injury resulting from negligence of Bristol Buddies or that of the employees or agents of Bristol Buddies or any liability which is due to our fraud or any other liability which we are not premitted to exclude or limit as a matter of law. If any terms is held to be invalid, unlawful or unforceable, it shall not affect the enforceability of any of the remaining terms. Bristol Buddies reserve the right to change the conditions of agreement at any time. Updated conditions will be published on the Terms & Conditions page of the website and will come into effect immediately. If you do not accept amendments to the agreement, you have the right to terminate any agreement you may have with Bristol Buddies and should stop using the site. Continued use of the constitutes acceptance of such changes to agreement. |
